But how do you make sure your marketing message is not lost in translation? Will your web site be visible to people in your target countries? How will you ever know?
WEB SITE LOCALISATION
Our web site localisation service is designed to ensure your web site is deployed successfully in your target market. First and foremost, that means having a local language web site your audience will find both comprehensible and engaging. It’s not just about translation! Linguistic and cultural nuances must be taken into consideration as well.
But there is little value in localising your web site's language unless you localise your internet marketing strategy too.
That's why we provide more than just a web site translation service.
If your English language web site is keyword optimised for search engine performance, then your local language web site should be optimised for localised versions of those keywords too. If your internet marketing strategy includes pay per click advertising, then you will want to consider running a local language, country targeted version of your campaign.
You will also need to make sure your web site is represented on the major search engines in your target country. Google has a huge market lead in many countries, but not all. Where it does not, you will want to make sure you have visibility on the search engines that do lead the way (e.g. Baidu in China or Yandex in Russia).
Finally, it may be advisable to host your localised web site under a local domain name (e.g. www.yourbusiness.cn for China). This is especially important for in-country search engines, which often give ranking preference to web sites they think will be most relevant to a local audience.

Language localisation is provided by our partner agency, which uses only native speaking, certified translators who are accredited members of a professional body, such as the Institute of Translators and Interpreters (ITI).
Strategy localisation is handled either in house, or else in partnership with in-country agencies having specialist knowledge of particular markets. If we don’t have an in-country partner agency in place already, we can often use our networks and experience to establish suitable partnerships on a case by case basis.
